,,,,,ahead of Storm Eleanor yesterday, a little bit of birdwatching whilst drinking my morning coffee then off for a ramble around a loop walk near Carrick on Suir.
Beautiful beech trees and ferns still sprouting through the fallen leaves of autumn but recent heavy rain made some of the pathways pretty boggy. It finished in sleety rain but the early sunshine was welcome and amazingly, some new fungi photos!!!!!.
When there is very little colour around these tiny mushrooms and lichens stand out like gems..
A haven of quiet countryside highlighting issues affecting the natural world.
